Technology Support Specialist

St. Bernard’s School is seeking a Technology support specialist for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time 12 month position.  The Technology support specialist reports to the Director of Technology, and works closely with faculty, students and administration to support and enhance the use of technology in the classroom.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide help desk support for students, faculty, and staff
  • Manage and maintain A/V System
  • Manage and Maintain network infrastructure
  • Maintain and troubleshoot classroom A/V equipment (smartboards, projects, printers, etc)
  • Maintain JAMF Pro
  • Use and troubleshooting of performance equipment such as microphones, sound systems, and projectors
  • Installation, troubleshooting of problems with computers, software, network, and peripheral equipment
  • G Suite support as needed
  • Assist faculty with classroom activities that include technology
  • Other duties as assigned
 
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with 3+ years experience in an academic IT setting
  • Prior experience in an educational setting
  • Experience supporting Mac OS and Microsoft Windows
  • Experience with JAMF Pro
  • Experience working on interactive projectors and SMART Notebook
  • Patience and good interpersonal skills
  • Facility and comfort working independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to be flexible with weekly schedule on occasion, which may include working evenings and/or weekends
