Farewell Party

On Tuesday, June 3, around 400 hundred people bid adieu to four devoted St. Bernard’s teachers at a farewell party in honor of Susan Kronengold, Jacques Savarèse, Grace Diggs, and Richard Malenky.  They combined have taught at St. Bernard’s for 125 years.  Generations of their students and their parents returned to celebrate their remarkable tenures and dedication to teaching.  There was a cohort of fathers and sons who both had Ms. Kronengold as their second grade teacher.  In keeping with St. Bernard’s tradition, attendees praised the honorees with a hearty round of “For they are jolly good fellows.”  We shall miss them greatly.
