St. B’s Visits Philadelphia

by Kate Fiscus, Director of Old Boys
On November 16, St. Bernard’s made a long overdue trip to Philadelphia.  Old Boys, parents, and friends came together at The Union League to share stories of time spent on 4 East 98th Street.  Stuart Johnson, John Demeny, and Doug Davis made the trip to update all attendees on school news.

Former faculty members Grace Diggs and Jim Durkin were in attendance along with Nina Foster, wife of our third headmaster, Esty Foster.  Our youngest Old Boy in attendance was Charlie Aresty ’13, a student at the University of Pennsylvania.  John Gillespie ’55, who remembers St. Bernard’s in earlier days, deserves credit for making this reception possible.  Thank you to all of the attendees.  Please come to St. Bernard’s the next time you visit New York.
