Kindergarten Boys Recite Poetry

St. B’s boys have many chances to perform and become confident public speakers.  Opportunities for public speaking begin in kindergarten, when boys step onto stage to recite poetry for their classmates and parents at a Junior School morning assembly.

This year was no exception.  On January 24, students in Kindergarten North performed poems about dinosaurs.  Each boy memorized two lines from a poem about a particular dinosaur, including Tyrannosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Anklyosaurus, and Quetzalcoatlus.  On March 7, boys in Kindergarten South recited poems about outer space, including Our Special Earth, I’m a Little Rocket, and Gravity.  In both performances the boys stood tall, projected, and performed wonderfully well.  Their hard work and preparation paid off!
