St. Bernard’s annual New York Cares Coat Drive is off to a great start! James D. and Jackson D. represented grade VII well this morning as they helped collect donations and reminded fellow students to bring in gently-used coats. Coats of all sizes are welcome. All donated coats will be sorted and distributed by New York Cares to a variety of organizations – including homeless shelters, churches, and schools – just in time for the cold winter ahead.
Students from grade VII will be in the lobby with parent volunteers on Wednesday, October 21, and Thursday, October 22, from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. As James and Jackson said, “Don’t worry! There’s still time. We’ll be here through Thursday.”
A special thank you to the Parents Association Community Service Committee, parent volunteers, and the students in grade VII.
