Kindergarten's Outer Space Creations

Aliens, flying saucers, and rockets have invaded the kindergarten walls.  For the past few weeks the kindergarten boys have been learning about outer space, and alongside their lessons they have created imaginative decorations that are out of this world.  Their creations can be seen in the image gallery, which reveals how busy they have been tracing, cutting, coloring, painting, taping, and stapling.  These hands-on projects put to good use a variety of skills such as following directions and making decisions.  These two skills can be seen in their green alien figures, which are unique and made of the same materials.  Practicing working together, each class assembled a boy-size rocket control panel.  The Kindergarten North rocket displays flags of countries around the world.  Ms. Loree explained that the boys researched their ancestors’ countries of origin, and as a class they created all the flags of their ancestors’ countries to put on the class rocket.  We are looking forward to many more years of innovative projects from these boys.  May they live long and prosper.
