The third Thursday in January can mean only one thing—the Old Boys Dinner! The forecasted snow held off on the evening of January 19 as over two hundred Old Boys returned to their first alma mater. They were treated to a fun cocktail hour in the small gym, followed by a hearty dinner. Several Old Boys also attended a special class taught by Mr. Savarèse.
Some statistics:
Total number of Old Boys: 205
The youngest class represented: class of 2003 (five members)
The oldest class: class of 1940 (two members)
Traveled the farthest: Aditya Bhisé 2001 from London
Seventeen sets of brothers attended
Six pairs of fathers and sons attended
Many Old Boys stayed after dinner to (raucously) belt out school songs late into the evening.
Thank you ninth graders Liam S. and Webster T., who provided tours of the building; Mr. Risinger, who played piano; the ladies from the General Store, who were busy selling St. Bernard’s merchandise; and to Elise Rose, Director of Old Boys, for planning the successful event. Mark your calendars for next year—the 2013 Old Boys Dinner will be held on January 17, 2013.
