Kindergarten Rocks for Haiti

On May 6th, the Kindergarten class hosted their first ever class Community Service event, "Kindergarten Rocks for Haiti."  The class came together to raise both awareness and badly needed funds for relief efforts focused on children in need in Haiti.  Tickets to the event purchased by families sent not only over $13,000 in funds, but also fifty soccer balls to children in Haiti, which St. Bernard’s coach, Ron Prosper, will himself deliver to kids there this summer.  The event itself featured a rock concert by none other than St. Bernard’s coach Eric Hill and his band and Kindergarten boys and their families spent nearly an hour dancing and singing along to his inspiring music.  It is the hope of this year’s Kindergarten community that the Haiti event marks “Year #1” in what will become a tradition of early Community Service at St. Bernard’s that families will enjoy for years to come.
