The Smalls
Stop by the 5th floor and you will notice a bulletin board filled with small squares, not too much larger than postage stamps. Look closely and you will see that each tiny square contains some pretty amazing artwork.
Students in grades 5-9, as well as members of the faculty and staff, were invited to participate in this simple exercise, named the “Smalls”. Ms. Rogan posted a prompt word and we were asked to come up with nine other words using free association. Based on these words, one was meant to fill a tiny 2” by 2” card with art. This tiny project offered us a lovely moment of self-expression and creativity. Come by the 5th floor this month to check out the “Smalls!”
