For the first time in many years, St. Bernard’s Great Skate took place in March! Although the morning began with a snow storm, the evening of March 4 turned out to be perfect weather for our annual skating party.
The ice was perfectly smooth, the temperature was just right, and Central Park was particularly picturesque with a fresh dusting of snow. Families and friends happily gathered at Wollman Rink to spend a festive evening together. Skaters of all ages dashed into the rink. The famous St. B’s dogs glided through the crowd and found time to pose for photos and share high-fives. The evening was lovely, from the lively conversations over hot cocoa to the eruptions of laughter on and off the ice. Families were all smiles as they made their way home after a terrific skating party.
Many thanks to the Parents Association for hosting this wonderful evening. Thanks to the Parents Association officers, Mika B., Erin D., Amy G., and Anne M. Special thanks to the Parents Association Skating Party co-chairs, Susan F., Lisa H., Rema P., and Paige R., who saw to every detail and ensured good times for all.
