Washington, D.C. Reception
On Friday, October 26, St. Bernard’s hosted a reception at the Metropolitan Club in Washington, D.C., for Old Boys and friends of the school.
The event was well attended with over thirty people in attendance and was well represented with a sweep of classes from 1940 to 2007. Several Old Boys were students at Georgetown and John Hopkins University. Friends of the school included two parents of two current teachers, Rocco Landesman, father of North Landesman, Grade V, and Al Kilborne, a past St. Bernard’s faculty member himself and father of Rebecca Kilborne, Grade II. Making the trip from East 98th Street were Stuart Johnson, Bob Miness, and several members of the development office.
The event peaked with the singing of the Baseball Song, initiated and led by Jim Symington '40, and merriment continued well into the evening.
