Letters to Veterans

The community service club wrote letters of appreciation to local veterans receiving medical care at the James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center.  They plan to deliver these letters in person on Tuesday, November 6, and spend time with the local veterans.

The letter below is a compilation of some of the letters that were written by the boys.  We look forward to hearing about their visit next month.

Dear Veteran,

Thank you so much for your service!  I appreciate your hard work that protects the freedoms of this country.  Thank you for risking your life for this country.  Your service to our country is invaluable, and your impact will affect many others in the future.  The community is better because of you.  Thank you for keeping our country safe so children like me can continue getting their education.  The opportunities you give us are priceless.

I am so sorry that you are sick.  I hope you recover really soon so that you can get back to living your life.  I hope you feel better, and one day I hope I can meet you.  You are strong, valiant, and fortuitous.

You served my people, and you deserve the recognition and respect given to the greatest heroes.  You are a true role model, and I wish you the best.

Stay strong!  Everyone at St. Bernard’s is supporting your recovery.

Sincerely,

St. Bernard’s Community Service Club
