Grandparents Visiting Day 2018
St. Bernard’s welcomed grandparents to school this week for Grandparents Visiting Day. Over 370 grandparents joined their grandsons for a morning of classes.
From kindergarten through grade IX, classrooms were full of laughter, smiles, and fun as grandparents enjoyed glimpses of their grandsons’ day-to-day. Families created artwork together, read books, played math games, worked on projects in carpentry, and conducted scientific experiments. Grandparents admired musical and theatrical performances that the boys had prepared for this special day. Many boys had the opportunity to learn from their grandparents through class assignments for the day, which included the boys interviewing grandparents and listening to the wisdom they had to share. It was a delightful day for all, and we thank the many grandparents for spending a Thursday morning at St. B’s.
