The Great Skate 2018

The Great Skate is one of St. Bernard’s beloved traditions.  Each year families gather together in Central Park to skate, catch up with one another, and have fun.

This year was no exception.  Over 800 members of our community braved the winter weather on Tuesday, January 30, to attend.  Children of all ages dashed out onto the ice.  Those who knew how to skate helped their friends or siblings make their way around the rink.  The famous St. B’s dogs glided easily through the crowd and gladly posed for photos with anyone who asked.  There were delicious, warm treats for everyone, and lively conversations and laughter filled the air.

Many thanks to everyone who attended and made the evening so lovely.  Thanks to the Parents Association, and in particular Reemah S., Mika B., Annie Z., and Anne M.  Thanks to Andrea V. for the photographs.  Special thanks to the Parents Association Skating Party co-chairs, Susan F., Linda G., Kathleen K., and Paige R., who saw to every detail and ensured good times for all.
