Spring Concert & Art Show

On Monday, May 2, the music and art departments presented the Spring Concert and Art Show.

The St. Bernard’s Singers, Chamber Singers, Recorder Club, Glee Club, and the String Orchestra performed beautifully in front of an audience in the 7th floor gym.  The production was also livestreamed to the rest of the community who watched from their computers at home.

The evening began with A New York State of Mind followed by When I Grow Up.  The Recorder Club played two pieces including May the Force Be With You from Star Wars.  The String Orchestra played another of the boys’ favorites, the theme from Harry Potter.

In between songs, television screens broadcast images from the virtual art show.  Each boy, from kindergarten through Grade IX had a piece in the exhibition.

To close the evening, the Glee Club and St. Bernard’s Singers belted out Don’t Stop Believing accompanied by science teacher Mark Manczuk on the drums.

Many thanks to Corinne Nelson, Angela Rogan, and Alexandra Shalvoy of the art department and Ginette Fertel, Willie Goetz, Daniel Jacala, and Mark Risinger for all of their hard work putting together a Spring Concert to remember.
