Scarlett Fund Cards
Each December, St. Bernard’s boys make holiday cards for patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (“MSKCC”) in collaboration with an organization called the Scarlett Fund.
This week the Good Heart team and the Community Service Club asked each student to make a special card with a handwritten note. The cards were personalized for a specific patient or MSKCC employee. As you can tell from the photographs, a great deal of time was put into each one. The boys filled cards with love, hope, and friendship, with the hopes of brightening the day of the patient on the receiving end.
The gesture is particularly welcome this holiday season as patients at MSKCC are limited to one visitor at a time because of COVID-19. The cards from St. Bernard’s boys offer kindness and support in a time of need.
