Sidewalk Appreciation

On what felt like a summer day in November, the boys of the 8th grade spent part of their recess decorating the sidewalk out front of school to show their gratitude for the faculty and staff.

The Grade VIII boys had some fun marking up the sidewalk along 98th Street with bright neon chalk.  They wrote messages of appreciation for their teachers and also the maintenance staff who keep our school running.  There was also some good hearted humor - an homage to a recently deceased plant called Juan who lived in Mr. St. Clair’s homeroom, and also a rib on the weak WiFi of the 6th floor.

All in all, it was a happy moment for the boys, and one that certainly brightened the day of the faculty and staff.  Many thanks to the Parents Association for the chalk and the brilliant idea.
